Blue skies, wonderful sunshine and a (sometimes) tricky breeze made for another fabulous day’s shooting at Goodwood Gun Club’s excellent Chalk Pit arena. 14 teams contested the 5 stands and flush competition in great spirit and with huge enjoyment all round.

Despite an inappropriately re-named, Don’t Stand a Chance team, Simon Lillywhite’s foursome again triumphed winning both the Best Team and The Flush, with Simon himself taking the Best Gun honour.

The day raised a total of £7,240… A really excellent result… and a big increase on last year… Well done everyone involved. In particular…
Huge thanks are extended to The Duke of Richmond for letting us use Goodwood’s superb facilities; to Giles and all at The Earl of March for a delicious lunch; to our marvellous participating teams, to the super-helpful volunteers from the Goodwood Gun Club, to our splendid Macmillan helpers and especially to Geraldine and Jenny, who organised everything and ran one of the most original and amusing auctions ever witnessed!!!

The Gallery photos below record and capture some of the teams and the memorable moments of the day. More photos are available.
